IMSU SETS UP UNECO FOR SUG ELECTIONS

 According to information I received this morning, the Imo state university has set up an eleven man University Electoral Commission whose mandate is to plan and organize a Students Union Government (S.U.G) election as soon as possible. According to Comrade Mbagwu Samuel who is also the chairman of the UNECO body, the commission was inaugurated yesterday, 11th June, 2015 by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Anthony Okere and the Students Staff Advicer Prince Sam Ezeanyika. The UNECO representatives were nominated by the deans of their respective faculties in the school. There are currently 11 faculties in Imo state university, Owerri.
The chairman of the IMSU 2015 UNECO is Comrade Mbagwu Samuel .C (Ability) while the secretary is Miss Mbaegbu Ihunaya Stacy.

Okeke Chidera- Health officer,
Ezeahurukwe Arinze- Treasurer,

Nwosu Chinonso- Assistant secretary,
Amajiri Bogard - P.R.O
Amuziem Justice - Returning officer.
According to the UNECO Chairman, Comrade Mbagwu, the mandate of the commission is to organize an SUG election within 2 weeks for the 15th republic. He said the sales of forms will commence soon.
The Imo state university has been without an SUG for about a year and six months. This followed the impeachment of the 14th republic President, Comrade Great Ogbu.
